Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Overheating issues: replaced blower fan (wouldn't
kick on during normal operation, fixed primary
overheating issues) new serpentine belt (broke
when car initially overheated), now it slowly
overheats when in idle, and it takes a while but it
does. So I'm figuring the thermostat was damage
when it overheated. I have no leaks, no tail pipe
dripping, no coolant/oil mixing, no coolant loss. Is
the thermostat under the alternator like most Fords
or is it directly under the distributor? Could I be
barking up the wrong tree?

Thermostat is under the alternator. You must drain the cooling system, remove the serpentine, and pull the alternator. The housing is underneath that. When my car overheated it torched the thermostat. I put it in boiling water and it was very slow to respond. New thermostat and everything is Gucci.
