how can I disconnect nav screen on my volvo s60r

Asked by GuruTN5CT Jul 05, 2018 at 03:36 PM about the 2007 Volvo S60 R Turbo AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I do not use the nav screen on my volvo S60R. Today it popped up
unexpectedly. First it asked for the disk to be inserted, then it went to the
"please wait" message and stayed there. The remote and the steering wheel
controls are not working. Can I simply disconnect the unit? Thanks!

I had the same exact problem on my 2006S60R Just left Volvo dealer - you have a bad cd in the navigation system. The nav disc is in the trunk / driver side - simply remove and the display should retract. Hope it works - I rode around like that for a year
