1988 chevy 2.0L idles at about 2000 rpm

My 1988 cavalier ran fine. Sat for 2 yrs now idles at 2000 rpm. Changed iac
and tps had no effect

Look for vacuum leaks. You may have a loose or cracked vacuum hose.

Also look for critter damage! Especially if it was parked outside! Mice, squirrels, etc. love to chew on vacuum hoses and wiring! Hope that helps! Jim
