1991 dakota has no spark nor gas at throttle body

hi i am having the same problem with my 91 dakota and was wondering if you have figured it out
open the wiring harness up that comes from the relay box a bout a foot from if on the fender there is 3 to 4 wires (depending on the engine 3 for v6 and 4 for v8)that are red with a white stripe they all join together they power to the computer they usually corrode and fall apart one way to tell is if the check engine light does not come on when you first flick on the key that tells if the theres power to the computer or not.
Rick in watertown wi.......the advice here was right on.....to bad it cost me $500 before I read this.....garage was no help...exhausted all options and bought a computer......THEN I read this and yep.....respliced and started right up......thankyou all who post here for your help
