Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Where is the thermostat located in
a 1985 Chevy Caprice classic

1 Answer

25,700

Follow the upper radiator hose, at the end you will see that the hose is attached to the thermostat housing with a clamp. If the hose is flexible it will not be necessary to remove it, leave attached to the housing. The housing has two bolts, once they are removed the thermostat is visible.
