2013 toyota camry wornt crank up

Asked by Reggie Oct 21, 2017 at 08:46 PM about the 2013 Toyota Camry SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

One morning my car was struggling to start. This
morning I work up and it would start. I check the
battery the positive was dirty so I cleanes it. Got
the battery tested it was good. Got a new starter.
And had my altanator tested it was good. Light
come on screen works alarm works. Windows
work. If I jump it it starts. Maybe I need to clean my
terminals again? Or is there a fuse it something?
Anything will help

Who tested battery and alternator? Sounds battery related. If you clean terminals, always take negative off first then positive. And to reconnect, put positive on then negative. I always use leather gloves to put over cables to keep from accidentally touching while cleaning or replacing. Battery might not have load amps to start car...deeming it bad?

Was starter installed correctly? Any loose or corroded connections? Any wires stretched during installation?

Auto zone for the test and I clean the corrotion again in the morning. And starter was installed correctly

I have never had autozone correctly diagnose a battery, starter or alternator. I do the tests myself. YouTube will help you. A friend and I took both a starter and alternator to an autozone and they told me both were bad. They both were good and I used my gut feelings and did not buy new or I would have wasted money.

Thanks guys I'm never going to auto zone again. It was my battery. Just had it retested it was bad

Another bad autozone experience for me to tell. Thank you, I am glad you found out what it was
