2003 Ford focus won't start

Asked by 78XC_FAIRMONTLOVA Apr 24, 2018 at 06:12 AM about the 2003 Ford Focus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have removed the battery, charged it, replaced it
and connected as original, car will turn over, but
will not start. Is there a factory imobililizer that
would be a causing issues with a flat remote
battery?

check for spark and fuel pressure , do you hear the faint sound of the fuel pump priming the system when you hit the key , are the injectors firing ?

the person at the auto parts store can only guess , unless they do diagnostics it's all guess work and luck , but sometimes thats all you have , with all the tech and security systems on newer cars there's no way to tell unless you test things
