Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can some one tell me what year and
what models came with this fuel
pump set up. Two main fuel pumps
and a the filter on top. Out side the
car rear passenger side.

One of the lines has cracked and is

if i'm not mistaken i think all S-Class models (saloons and coupes) had duel fuel pumps so if it's just a rubber hose your after you should be ok

Cool thanks. Any idea on what year they stopped making them out side the tank?

you car is a 126 chassis, the updated model that appeared in the 90's was the 140 chassis and i'm pretty sure they still used the same configuration as yours. Unfortunately i haven't worked on mercedes models after 2001 so i'm pretty much out of ideas after that.

I am of the understanding that Mercedes made dua fuel pumps for the 1989 560 sec as an import to Japan but only one fuel pump for NA models. I am just having the two installed in my '89.
