I had a similar problem with my 92, 155 k miles. Mine would slip a little right after starting. Then be good the rest of the day. Eventually, toward the end it would still do that, and come out of gear at the stop sign. It finally burned up all the planetary gears, the clutches, and all. I think the trans fluid cooler was plugging up, and causing reduced fliud pressure until it warmed up, and the fluid thinned out. Check the flow through the return line. An external trans fluid cooler is about $65 bucks, and not terribly difficult to install.
