Have 1994 Stealth R/t without turbo. Determined PCM is bad. Idle and stalling issues. Can you put in used PCM or does it have to be new? Dealership told me it has to be new because of vin encryption.

The used PCM might be from a manual trans. Mine is automatic. How can you tell? I put the new one in and ran on the xway. It seemed to want to shift at 60mph. Or is it because it has to be flashed? Thanks.
