WHY WONT MY 2003 FORD ESCAPE BACK UP WHEN IT IS IN REVERSE AND THE GAS PEDAL IS PRESSED

check to make sure fluid level is correct. (check while running in park) when fluid is low reverse and overdrive are the first to show signs
