Check out GFchips.com. For $69 they have upgrades to increase gas mileage.
There is NO $69.00 fix that will increase fuel mileage. Keep the vehicle properly serviced, keep tires properly inflated, use a light foot on the throttle and driving at slower speeds will yield the best fuel mileage. In the past I have tried cold air intakes and cat back exhausts on my Fords and there was NO difference in the MPG. The only thing I noticed was a lighter wallet.
Auto makers are under constant pressure from the government to increase gas mileage on their vehicles. A sixty-nine dollar retail gizmo plugged into the PCM would probably cost Ford about a buck to make. If it worked, they would have already stuck one in.

I’m not sure if this is right, guys. It’s a computer and at some point Ford will say “good enough”. Someone else can spend more time tweaking those settings. I did notice a difference, but it was a $450 computer. Also, make sure the rear pinion diffs are in good shape and your truck doesn’t have a roar when it is taking off. I was down to 11mpg without the rear end in top shape.
