exhaust leak

My son took his 1987 MR2 in to have the seals replaced.  He got the seals replaced and now the vehicle is smoking like crazy?  What do you think the issue is?  Or, some possibilities of what would cause the smoking exhaust on acceleration.

I've witnessed the incorrect seals being used, correct part numbers incorrect parts- seals the DOHC heads require a competent hand. NO mechanic paws.
