1997 Nissan pickup

My lights got dim and it started cutting out
and the brake dummy light came on. I
replaced the altnater and battery and it is
still discharging when the headlights and
heater is on checked all the ground
connection and it's good what else could it
be?

have the charging system VATED/checked...it should be a free service.
