I have a non running 87 body-86engine. Spark is fine but will only run while manually feeding fuel to engine. What would you suggest to get it operable?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a non running 87 300zx.  Found it to have a 86 motor installed.  It sputtered but wouldn't start.  Replaced
the distributor and now have good spark, but the engine will only run when I manually feed the fuel.  Do I have to
replace the ecu or what?  Any help will be appreciated.

just clean the carb it should run after you do that or the fuel filter might be clogged up and the fuel pump might have gone out just putting some stuff out there for you to check.

download the FSM and go through the procedures. I would say your pressure regulator is bad, Fuel injectors are clogged, bad injector harness.
