Car will not start, no lights or anything. Has a brand new battery.

If you don't have anything in car you maybe connect the batt in wrong way, a bad pole or you have in the B+ pole a set of fuse or link fuse those fuse pass the electric power to the IPDM . If those fuse are blow you don't have anything on in car. If all are right you have a problem in the ignition switch. But if you open the door and don't see the door ajar light verify what i say first.

JERRY, THATS EXACTLY WHAT MY 96 300ZX DOES, I REVERSED THE BATTERY AND TRIED TO START CAR. NOW NOTHING WORKS EVEN WITH NEW BATTERY AND REPLACING THE TWO FUSES THAT BLEW
