how do i reset my 97 dodge dakota computer

To do a soft reset use a scanner to clear the codes, it will wipe all that info but leave the KAM (keep alive memory) active. To do a hard reset remove the terminals from the battery, press and release the brake pedal and wait 15 minutes to hook the battery back up.
