Will crank but wont start

Ive got a 97 dodge dakota 5.2 auto 2wd my mom
was driving it one day and it stalled going down
the road got it started back up and drove for about
five minutes then done it again but this time
backfired wouldn't start after that it sat for about 6
months and i decided to try and fix it i changed the
cap rotor plugs and wires and now it trys to crank
and it almost does but cant figure out whats wrong
the fuel pump is working getting fire put fresh gas
in it idk what else could be wrong any ideas??

A sensor blown and the auto shutdown fuse that protects your trucks computer. That's the issue I had any way. 30 amp fuse on my 96 3.9 dakota.
