Don't start

My  car shut off while I was at a red light and when
I tried starting it again it sound like the starter was
stuck so I had the stater checked  and it was good
I noticed  the oil light was on could it be a bad oil
switch to make the car do that

Did you check the oil level? does the engine run? from what your describing,if the engine doesn't run, it may be locked up.
