Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm really interested in getting a 2013 focus st
and was wondering if it's even a good car. I love
that it's turbo and hatch and aren't they
reliable? What do yall think? Are they worth
getting? What's the typical problems that they
have ?

I think you would be looking at the Ford Focus as a whole, ST would be a model call out. Otherwise just search forums or other sights.

I have a 2014 model with Turbo that I love. There is a transmission lag when accelerating(so it seems). A mechanic advised me to use only high octane premium fuel and that's made a significant difference in the acceleration lag, so it's worth it. I love how this car drives.

The ST (especially 2015 and newer) represents one of the best values for a sports vehicle. The rare characteristics of the ST: 4 doors (plus a hatch!), economical 4cyl engine with over 250hp, good gas mileage and room for 4 adults--all at a price under $25,000 well equipped-- makes this a better choice than other vehicles $5000-$8000 higher.
