Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 Nissan Altima, as soon as i step on the gas o go 5 feet and it
hops into 3rd or 4th gear, to bring it up to speed i accelerate but then hops in
and out of gears.
whats the deal.

cvt in that model are known for doing that an will most likely need replacement ive probally seen 20 or more with the same issue at the dealership

Yes I've read all about the CVT and was hoping t b.c at wasn't the issue.. should I have the trans serviced anyway just to confirm?
