Can I put my 2000 stratus motor in my 2001 stratus

Good question. The Stratus was redesigned in 2001, so you will need to compare any variances in engine (turbo vs. N/A, configurations of engines - 2 different types of 4 cylinder available), engine bay size and layout differences, if any. Since it WAS redesigned for 2001, I would discuss the finer points of swapping engines with a reputable mechanic. Good Luck!

As long as it is the 2.4L DOHC Engine yes..... the intake and exhaust manifolds and all sensors must be used from your 2001 set up, no short cuts the entire harness needs to have all original from 2001 components. The only thing that may be different is the flywheel. The blocks and cylinder heads are the same.

For "Chris" would that also be true to my 2004 can I put my 2000 2.4l dohc engine block(edz) able to be put into my 2004 2.4 l dohc(edz)?
