Not sure what phone you have, but 2 things: Make sure your phone is activated in Bluetooth mode (sounds obvious, I know, but sometimes people overlook this)....also, look in the Owner's Manual...should be a section that addresses phone pairing to your vehicle. All else fails, try a GMC truck enthusiasts on-line forum or just call the GMC Dealer..I'm sure a sales or service rep can walk you through it easily.

Were you able to get the phone paired to your truck yet??

go to your "configure" menu- select "phone", then select "bluetooth" and then select "pair device"- you then start a search for bluetooth device on your phone. when it shows "gmc acadia" click on that and it should either ask for the 4 digit code that shows on your screen or it will show about a 6 diigt code and ask if it matches the one on the phone- if it does, answer yes and you are good to go. you can message me with any further questions. I hope this helps.

I’m having the same issue. I have a 2014 GMC Acadia and the iPhone 8+. I was connected at one point but the voice recognition wasn’t recognizing my contacts so I deleted the connection to try and reconnect. I also reset my network settings on my phone. But now i can’t connect again and I get the same message about unable to successfully pair. The dealership says i need to check with my phone carrier.

Is your car in drive or park? GMCs have a safety feature that requires most modifications to your vehicle only while in park.

I've tried all of the above and cannot connect my iPhone 8 to a 2015 GMC Acadia.

I have the same issue with my 2017 Acadia. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn’t. I always have to manually pair it every time I get in the vehicle. Sometimes I have luck, and other times not. I have called On-star and taken it to the dealer. They can’t figure out why. I have no problems in any other vehicle.

I found that pressing yes, the codes match, on the Acadia, then immediately pressing pair on the phone worked for me. There isn’t much time to do this though.
