Question type: Shopping & Pricing

My 2013 Porsche Boxster is a CPO car by Porsche North America. Your pop up
says it is not a CPO car. Please correct that asap. Not getting credit for the
CPO lowers my deal rating and my sales price.

If you are a private seller, not a dealer, the vehicle is not a CPO vehicle. A CPO vehicle is a preowned vehicle that has passed the manufacturer's inspection at one of their Dealer's service departments. It meets a certain criteria and the manufacturer is basically saying this used vehicle is a good buy. You as an individual can't certify the vehicle. In fact I can't imagine an 8 year old vehicle being a CPO vehicle. Jim

It WAS a CPO car. Now it is a used car. If the warranty is transferable you should say so in your ad.

I have purchased two CPO cars from Porsche and i know these facts: The Porsche Dealer conducts a 111 point inspection to bring the car up to factory standards. The warranty includes a zero deductible, roadside assistance and trip interruption coverage. The Porsche CPO limits are to the thirteen previous model years and for vehicles under 124,000 miles. The warranty can be transferred to a private buyer only. It follows the VIN number. Of course it is a used car but it has the CPO benefits for twenty four months or however much of the twenty four months are left at time of sale. It is far less risky than buying a car with no warranty. Car Gurus sellers should be able to have that included at the top of their ad. This week I sold my eight year old CPO car with 58K miles for 3K more than paid for it.

As I said before, tell people the car has a warranty. Unless you inspect it all over again and fix any problems and provide a new warranty it is not really CPO anymore. As far as selling your car for 3k more, anything that rolls under its own power is worth a bundle these days. Covid and all that crapolla.
