Miss problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why is my van still
missing? Ive changed
wiring harness, fixed
open injector, cleaned
everything out, changed
plugs but not wires. It
started doing this after
starting it up. No signs
of anything. The wiring
harness was melted
together, then one of the
wires melted on down
past where it hooks up.
Could changing the plug
wires be my last step to
fixing this problem?

Very well could but there could also be many other causes for a misfire as a vacuum leak, a bad gasket, dirty EGR valve, a mechanical issue with the cylinder head and more. If the plug wires are old you can't go wrong by replacing them
