Tailgate

Asked by Amy Jun 07, 2016 at 06:08 AM about the 2012 Honda CR-V EX-L FWD with Navigation

Question type: General

My neighbor leaves their tailgate up when the
temp gets hot.  They say it cools their black car
down.  We don't live in Florida and they have an
auto start.  Any suggestions on how to
approach this or should I just let it go since
they are 80.

I have a Honda CR-V 2015 and just purchased it, I am not able to open the tailgate with the forb just manually. IT states in the manual it has a button on the dash which I can not find and it has a button on the bottom of the door but not there puzzled?

I recently purchased a 2019 Honda CR-V and I am also having the same issue. I cannot locate the tailgate button inside the car. I have to get out of the car and press the release button on the tailgate in order to open the trunk. I looked over the manual and it indicates that there is a release button on the dashboard, but it just has 4 plain covered buttons that are not used for anything in the car.

I have a 2017 CRV and the tailgate switch is located under the dash drivers side. The upper panel includes six buttons for turning off and on autonomous driving options and tailgate. The tailgate button has a little symbol showing CRV with hatch open.
