Asked by patilniv May 11, 2015 at 12:50 AM about the 2012 Toyota Corolla LE

Question type: General

I just saw 2012 Toyota Corolla LE at price 12,000 from Norfolk area, Mileage 43k.
Carfax says, After 36k mileage maintenance at toyota of waldorf, the car was with
Virginia Motor Vehicle Dept. Atlanta GA till 07/25/2014 and sold at auction
Pennsylvania and then Dealer offered for sale 09/17/2014.
So just want to know about the car, whether it is good with the deal. I like the car
because its 3k less price than kbb value. But I am confused little bit. I have many
questions like why is it not sold from 09/17/2014, why it went for auction?

Please suggest as soon as possible. How should I go with this deal? Thank you.

It might've been repossessed and then sold at auction but idk

Yes. You are right. I just got the Autocheck report. Autocheck (Score 72) have disqualified the car and found that car has some structural damage and on lease for some time. And surpisingly CARFAX haven't mentioned it.

Avoid it. period. There are plenty of 10th Generation Corollas for a decent price without all the mystery and potential problems. Structural damage = serious collision --not repaired at Dealer or reputable shop. That's why it does not show as been wrecked in CarFax
