2013 Nissan LEAF has no gas tank. It is an all electric, battery operated vehicle. It charges from regular house electrical power or from a special quick charger which will give an 80% charge in 30 minutes. Regenerative braking recaptures some of the energy which would otherwise be lost as heat in braking (stopping or slowing down).
