Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I change out a dead battery for a newer one.  I
started with the negative first than positive,  found
out that the positive on the battery was a little to
thin and it sparked a few time took off both
terminal tried it the correct way to hook up the
battery.  And the truck has no power what so ever.
Need a little help with this.

I'm unclear on what you did - did you hook up new battery backwards? A little spark when hooking up cables isn't bad, as long as you got red to red, black to black. But since you have no power at all, check main or mega fuse, check fusible links, and recheck battery cables/terminals and grounds.

what do you mean the cable was a little thin ? lot of amps have to go though there , if you cut it back for good portion of wire t solder the copper wire so it doesn't collapse when attached tot he terminal
