1988 Dodge W150 318 V8 pickup - very sluggish acceleration

Asked by Patrick1988DodgeW150... Apr 13, 2018 at 04:44 PM about the 1988 Dodge RAM 150 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a great 1988 Dodge pickup.
Very sluggish acceleration.
Starts and idles great.
Very hard to get over 55 and it takes a long time to get there due to having to
do it so gradually.
I've replaced fuel filter, plugs, air filter, thermostat, temp sensor, oil pressure
switch.    I've also cut off the cat convertor.    NO LUCK.

Any help appreciated.
Patrick
