How to fix dodge charger water leak?

Asked by Devin Jul 05, 2020 at 08:22 AM about the 2012 Dodge Charger SXT AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car is overheating. Ive replaced the fan, Reservoir, water
pump, thermostat & caps. As soon as I put the new
reservoir in i found the problem. I looked under my car and
the water is leaking out, but on the passenger side of the
car, complete other side from the reservoir a nice steady
stream of water too. I drove it to coco beach & back from
tampa & didnt overheat then i drove in town for a day & the
water was empty. Any help would be nice, ive taken it to a
shop & they didnt see the leak so i feel like i haven't been
helped.

A shop can pressure test the cooling system and that will help find any leaks. (You can also rent or even borrow the apparatus from most auto parts stores.) Don't drive the car until this is fixed, you risk overheating the engine and causing permanent damage. As far as finding the leak yourself, if all hoses are good, check freeze plugs and heater core.
