How to fix tailgate sensor

Hello

My Dodge Caravans tailgate sensor stopped
working in the middle of the night. This meant that
all the lights turned on and drained the battery as it
thinks that the tailgate is open.

I am sure that there a part that I can buy and
change it. Do you know how I can go about fixing
this? I am open to hear other solutions.

????? The courtesy lights and liftgate ajar light may illuminate intermittently. Our technicians tell us that switching the wires at the liftgate ajar switch connector will correct this condition. ?????

The number for the switch is for 2007 and before..... Do you know what will fit 2008-2010 with out power lift gate

I have a 2017 Dodge Grand caravan. My window in the gate was vandalized.... repaired window but now my Alert and light is on saying gate is open when it’s actually closed. I turned off the light. It works so far but gate is still showing that it’s open when it’s closed. Can someone help? I’m not sure how to go about this?
