i have a 1999 Z3 coupe that gets wet in the front driver side on the carpet. had it checked and "fixed". is now leaking again. also leaked the only time i went through a no-touch car wash same side. s

I wonder if something on the firewall or the windshield seal is leaking? Is it water or engine coolant?

Could be the driver's side A-pillar seal also.

The "A" pillar is the windshield post between the windshield and the door glass.

I had this issue once and it was the windshield seal. An auto glass repair shop can replace the seal. I tried to use silicone to do the trick but it wasn't worth the effort. Putting silicone around the window seal is not a good fix. Replacing the windshield seal is the best way to go.

we shall see when winter rain comes, as I had a new windshield installed recently. There was an audible air sound coming in through the new seal (never heard it before) so I returned to shop and they took care of it.(?) I guess the seals can get pretty dry on a 1999. maybe I should check all of them. Thank You for your input, Sharon.
