I have a grinding noise in my front driver's side tire. Our mechanic replaced the tie rod cap, but it's still there (our mechanic is trustworthy). It's only when I'm going STRAIGHT, not on corners.

They found it while I was in for brake work. I mentioned the sound as an additional problem, not the main issue. I thought it might be a brake pad hanging up, wheel bearing, or tie rod so they were looking at those specifically. The CVT joint did not occur to me...
