2010 Town and Country Power Steering Pump and Radio

Asked by Kayla Feb 20, 2023 at 04:13 PM about the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country Touring Plus FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a question about interchangeable parts for my 2010 Chrysler Town and
Country Touring Plus. Due to some bad circumstances, my power steering
pump went out. I've called around and I've been able to find a 2008 Town
and Country at a scrap yard. Can I take the parts from this vehicle and put it
on my 2010?

Additionally, when I bought my van last year the hard drive in the radio was
bad. I've priced buying an aftermarket radio with a dash kit and wire harness
and it's a couple of hundred dollars. I'd like to see if I can take the OEM radio
from the 2008 Town and Country and use it in my 2010. I know it's going to
depend on a few things, one of them being if it's single din or double din. The
one I am needing to replace is a double din and has a backup camera,
Bluetooth, Sirius XM (which I'm not gonna be using), and DVD players.

Power steering pump's not really a junk yard part , you may as well buy new . As far as the radio you can get new after market but the wiring may need an interface to work properly , same as the one from the salvage yard . It won't be plug and play . If you can afford something else you may want to consider , If you can't then you can't afford to be dumping money into what you have . You may see one thing after another go bad on a 13 year old vehicle , ESPECIALLY a chrysler

If you're a single mom and trying to make every penny stretch, used is fine, but can lead to doing the project twice, which can be REALLY FRUSTRATING. If you use a pull a part type place use the 30-60-90 day warranty if available.in case of failure. Youtube can be a wealth of knowledge or noledge. Money can be saved there too.this pump is shared across several models jfyi. On to the radio, start in the fuse box, often the power button contact wears out and is non serviceable unless you can solder micro electronics. Dont know your skill set so please dont be offended. Or you can do like beatupchev said and go aftermarket w a harness adapter kit. And install kit.
