Check Engine Light

Asked by angxl Oct 09, 2017 at 09:24 PM about the 2008 Suzuki XL-7 Luxury AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why does the check engine light show up?
It’s been like that for a bit and I don’t know
what it could be. I tried resetting it by
disconnecting the cables off of the battery
and it worked, but it showed up again.

the check engine light automatically comes on when there is something wrong its trying to warn you to service the issue . it can be such as a misfire , loose connection , or sensor . you can visit your local autozone and they will do a free code reading.. that will display the codes that will define whats causing it to turn the engine light on .. when you figure out the code you will be able to know what you need to replace on your vehicle to make the light turn off .. that light is very important and you should not try to make it go away with out any fix because it can lead to further problems .. i hope i help solve your issue
