heater not working/ transmission had a leak at same time/ related????

No most trans leaks are one of four places pan, axle seals, torque converter (front pump seal) or over flow vent, the heater is low coolant or bcm, especially if security equipped. If a small red dot appears on cluster (top right) you have factory security. Start w checking coolant.
