Fully charge the battery first. Battery may have enough juice for light loads like radio or lights, but not enough cranking amps for the starter. You can always pull battery out and take it up to any parts store for a free test. After confirming battery is good check the starter relay, if you have a similar rated relay under the hood, swap them and see if problem follows the bad relay. Next, if you have a volt/ohm meter, do a voltage drop test to the starter, this will check starter is getting full voltage when it needs to. Starters are not easy to get to or replace, so check the easy things first before doing the starter. If you're doing the starter replacement yourself, pull it out then take it to a part shop and have it bench tested, that will confirm it was indeed the bad part.
