Asked by Jametra Apr 22, 2018 at 08:51 PM about the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica and it won't
start I can move it a couple feet if I get a
jump but the alternator is good the battery is
new in the starter is good when I'm driving
sometimes it will shut off and be unable to
start and I will have to wait for a while when
I purchased the vehicle it was blowing cold
air so a guy took a thermostat out of another
Pacifica and put it in this one could the
thermostat be stopping this car from
starting if so I have a 44 year old single
mother is there a easy way for me to get to
the thermostat and unhook it if so will it run
without it until I can get it into the shop this
week as well does anyone know if this is an
expensive thing to fix I've heard it could be
the thermostat sensor is the thermostat or
the thermostat sensor very expensive to fix
please help please please please help

thermo stat probably has nothing to do with it , you seem to be at the mercy of idiots , the money you spend on people ripping you off you could have a basic set of tools , it's not easy but there's a lot of info for free on line , maybe you can find someone normal to help you

I had that same problem with my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica finally after 3 different mechanics looked at and the last one was going put a new Catalac converter on it but when got it on the lift noticed all motor mounts we broke so when would accelerate would pull on all the wires causing a connection problem killing the car after replacing the motor mounts a year and half ago have not had the issue since
