Battery light still on after replacing battery?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After replacing car battery, the Battery light is still on. I was told to drive around
and it resets itself but nothing has happened. Do i need to reset my battery?

When battery light comes on it telling you there is a problem with the charging system nine times out of ten bad alternator, blown alternator fuse or wiring problem.
