I recently purchased a 2011 Chevy Silverado. and the first oil change I did i put what I always have used caltrol Gtx. I went 1900 miles on it before I found out I needed a dexos 1 oil. did I ruin it?

No, should be ok, just change to the recommended oil. And do the filter again.

also you can and i do run type f in all my gm stuff..it better than dex2
