Have you replaced the battery in the remote? I have had to replace them in my 2011 Juke once already.

Hold the i'key right beside the start button and if it does not start there may be an issue with the steering lock assembly. if it does start then the fob batteries are dying. if the steering wheel does not lock when car is shut off that's a sure sign the steering lock assembly has failed.

It may also be the brake engaged switch. If it has failed the system will not recognize the brake is engaged even if it is so the engine will not turn over. Battery and other lights will turn on. Brake switch is pretty easy to fix yourself ...it's under the dash above the the brake. Or pay a dealer $200.

How would you determine if it’s the brake switch? I am having the same problem with my 2013 Juke SL
