Cranks but wont start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 05 Ranger, it sat for about a month,
started a couple times. Went to move it, wont start,
dead  battery, tried to jump start but wont start.
Change plugs and wires, jumped it started right up.
I let it run for about 30 minutes turned it off and it
wont start. Please help.

With a bad alternator, would you be able to jump start my truck? Because after I turned it off, I tried to jump it and it would start. So my question is, would a bad alternator prevent it from starting? I know I need a new battery.

Did you ever find out the reason? I have a 05 ranger that is doing the same thing.

    The ranger wont start but cranks. If you jump it to get it started the first time it will start every time after that day. Got a new battery and fuel pressure regulator
