Unless I misunderstand your question, to cool the engine by pumping coolant

I READ ON LINE THAT IF YOU HAVE A SERPENTINE BELT IT REQUIRES A SPECIAL WATER PUMP THAT TURNS IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. DO THE 1998 ETC 4.6L V8 HAVE A SERPENTINE DRIVE BELT?

I keep popping a few fuses in my 1996 Caddi El Dorado. Then the engine dies. My mechanic thinks its the fuel pump that is having intermittent issues. How difficult would it be to replace the fuel pump in this caddi ? thanks 1 answer

Drives perfectly fine and then "pooof", engine dies and comes to a halt. Two hours later, starts right up and then the same thing is happening. Is my fuel pump "shorting out" ?
