What is a cold 34 for 1999 Cadillac DeVille

Code 34 on your car means a problem with the MAP sensor. They rarely fail but more often become clogged with carbon or the plastic hose in back is kinked. Check it out then cancel code to see if it comes back. Cancel by disconnecting battery a few minutes.
