2011 Ford escape will not start.

Asked by Shewwy Jan 31, 2020 at 09:33 AM about the 2011 Ford Escape XLT AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 Ford escape 6 cylinder all wheel
drive. The security light is flashing quickly. Tried
removing battery cable. Cleaned the grounds in
engine bay and fuse block. Checked relays.
Checked the plugs to the ecm pcm etc. Tried two
different master keys. Tried Re setting keys and
security system. Changed fuses. I've tried basically
everything with still no luck. Just trying to avoid
taking to Ford as the dealership is far away for me
and only way right now is to tow. Anyone have any
ideas? Would replacing the computer possibly
solve this?

Well no shit lol. I never wanted one to begin with. Always Chevy but this was free and given to me and really any newer vehicle has problems these days even from the dealership so can say tht about any vehicles these days.

They keys are matched if you go into the test mode says the keys are fine and matched to the car. So is why we think it's something with the computer modual for the security system. I understand I would need to refladh the computer and I can get one programmed to my Vin already and pre flashed. Woukd replacing engine bay wire harness help possibly fix this as I can get replacement harness.
