Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Cadillac srx.  It will start in the
morning fine and run fine.  If I shut it off it may
start and it may not.  When it may not which is
getting alot more often,  I have lights on dash
everything works.  I wiggle keep key and nothing.
If I let it set for a few hrs or over night it will start
right up.  Sometimes I can run it all day and fire
right back up.  Some days I can drive it a block
shut it off and will not start.  Could it be the key or
ignition and what can I do to fix it.  Thank u for you
advise.

Sorry for replying without an answer. I have the same exact issue, please if you find out post the solution. If I find out I will also. Years ago I had a man override the starting issue but can't get in contact with him again. Thanks again

Well i found the problem i think. The wires that goes underneath from the starter, the ground wire was loose. The bolt was falling out. I tightened it up and have had no problems since. Put in a cam sensor starter. And it was that all along u guess.

It was the starter. First the wire was shorting out on it. Did not have a very good connection. Before changing the starter i wiggled the wires to the starter and for a while it fixed it. But then out of the blue it started it again. The starter went out. I changed it and have not had that problem again. Its been 6 mo. So i would say to see if the starter is going out.
