Sunglasses stuck on bottom of passenger seat. My son not aware, he adjusted the seat to recline position, clicking sound occur. The seat got twisted ; (  
The buttons still works to move the seat, but now seat is twisted. Is this repairable or do I need to buy new seat. How much will it cost me?

If the seat frame is actually twisted then yes you will need a new seat frame with motors and cables. But if the metal isnt twisted then here's a site to for you to look at for the repair. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php? t=392781 hope this helps.

Most likely one of the cables is dislocated. unbolt the seat lay it back and locate the cable that is not actuating. You can then straighten the seat and remove the cable from the casiing, trim the casing for the cable approx 1/4 inch and use shrink wrap to reconnect it.

Thanks for reply. I do not know anything about cars. I called BMW dealers and one of them quoted me $195 just to diagnose the problem (Berkeley California)...plus what ever needs to be done. I am waiting for another mechanic here in Alameda (in an hour)- Hopefully his quotes are not too high to fix my car. Bess
