Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, so about a day and a half ago, I had hit a speed bump
in my 06 325xi, after hitting the speed bump I started
noticing this "knocking" noise come from the front right of
my car, it doesn't happen when driving straight but if I turn
left it's really loud and when I turn right, the noise is still
there just not as loud, also when I am in park there is no
vibrations, but when I put it in drive I start feeling
vibrations at my feet coming from
The same right front side. All bolts are tight, no signs of
rubbing on the tire, the disk brake, or anything else inside
the wheel well, little bit of play in my CV axel but that's it,
any ideas, or tips would be greatly appreciated, thank
you.

I would get the car re-aligned. If you hit anything that hard you probably knocked something out. You may have tight CV joints, but if you put undue lateral pressure on the shaft you could be forcing something out of alignment inside the differential for the front axles. The first place I would start is getting the alignment checked. If it was not damaged and is straight they probably not charge you unless they actually have to do any work.

Update: after taking a further look I noticed that all 4 of my right engine mount bolts were sheared off not holding any of the weight for the right side of my engine. Weather this speed bump did all that or not I needed to replace them. After more research I found out that these bolts are made out of aluminum so what do you expect. After replacing the mount bolts my right side of my car raised about an inch to two inches from where my CV axel was rubbing ( what I thought problem was originally) knocking noise went away when I was slowing down or taking turns, as well as vibrations caused but what it seemed to be engine resting improperly. Instead of a 80-100 dollar fix DIY, it turned into only a $30 fix and a afternoon getting pissed off.
