06 Cadillac won’t start

Asked by Michael May 03, 2018 at 12:00 PM about the 2006 Cadillac CTS 3.6L RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought a 2006 Cadillac CTS not too long ago and been
having electrical issues since I put a new radio inside
without changing the battery that was already in there.
Well I got tired of the car dien on me yesterday and
bought a new battery and now when I turn the key the car
cranks and make noises but doesn’t starts. The starter is
moving and the theft light is off. Check engine light has
been on for quite a while but car has always started.

I'd recommend hooking up a diagnostic test and figure out why the engine light's on. Whatever the codes are my be preventing it from starting.
